About this Project

Worked directly for Developer preparing site for mid-sized apartment complex that provided 378 residential units and 17,850 square feet of retail space to downtown Nashville. Scope of work included erosion control, site demolition, site grading, and installation of site utilities. Much of the excavation and utility installation were required to be performed congruent with the new construction.

Highlights:

• Site preparation for mixed-use building in the Gulch area of downtown
• Exploratory excavation
• 22,000 cy of mass excavation
• Installation of sewer, storm, and water site utilities
• Export of 18,000 cy of unsuitable soils
• Excavation of 84’ x 23’ x 10’ deep detention vault located under the parking garage
• Re-route of active sewer directly on highly congested street requiring multiple road closures
• Alley demolition, grading, and paving
• Installation of three 2,000 gallon great traps
• Installation of Contech water quality unit
• Installation of light pole bases

• Highly congested downtown area requiring multiple lane closure
