About this Project

This project is two-phased with the first phase being preparation of the site for the new building. Once the new school is built, we will begin phase two and demolish the existing school. Scope of work includes erosion control, building demolition, site demolition, earthwork, site grading and installation of sanitary sewer, storm sewer, and watermain.

Highlights:

• 65,000 cy of mass excavation
• Blasting of 40,000 cy of material
• Export of 35,000 cy of material
• Excavation of bedrock and unsuitable soils
• Excavation for utility trenches
• Demolition of existing elementary school
• Construction of access roads and parking lots
• Excavation and installation of all site utilities

Site Conditions:

• Active, occupied elementary school
• Demolition of existing school structure located within 8’ of new school structure
• Stringent background requirement for all employees on site
