Site preparation for a hotel in Downtown
Nashville that was surrounded by active city streets. Scope of work included site demolition, site grading, and installation of storm sewer, water quality units, sanitary sewer, and watermain. Improvement of storm sewer structure required. Installation of electrical vault 17’ below grade. Hammering of rock was required as blasting was not permitted at this site.

Highlights:

  • 15,000 cy of rock excavation
  • Hammer and rock excavation for installed NES vault 17’ below grade
  • Excavated 15’ below grade for footers
  • Excavated 15’ below grade and replaced 18” RCP with 36” RCP for updated storm sewer system
  • Replaced 2 blocks of storm sewer system in front of 24/7 operational hotel
  • Install 20’ deep grease trap pits and 10’ deep WQU excavation

Managed high traffic area with multiple lane closures
Installed storm sewer in front of fully operational Hotel – High congested area
